Ummm Hi :)

It's been awhile. I never did create a Disney World blog... hmm :/ Life just got really busy after we got back... between work and fun things and keeping the house in order.

We also got a new kitten! And we promised ourselves NO MORE ANIMALS. Two cats, two dogs! MAX. His name is Odie and he's a white and grey siamese mix kitty. :) He's a cutie. and fiesty...

Sooo when was my last update? Probably in July, haha. Highlights of what's happened between then and now, in order (somewhat):

• Jake got laid off from his electrician job
• Jake got a new job doing low voltage work! Not as good as his previous one, but it's paying the bills and adding to his experience
• Got a new kitten, Odie
• Made a ton of pickles with my family! Took home two dozen for Jake and me
• Still losing weight with Isagenix & starting to grow my business! Woohoo!

• Got new window treatments for the living room! Looks much better and now we can actually watch TV if it's still light outside
• 2nd cousin turned 3 years old! & another one on the way!

• Went out with some friends for the Oyster Run- rode my ninja! Lots of fun, as always.
• Clutch went out on my dual sport; have the parts to fix it, just need to put in the labor, ugh.
• Took an a leadership role at work as part of my leadership development plan
• Beginning to work on Beerlympics 2010 website!

That last bullet, about the Beerlympics, I'm particularly excited for! Robert (friend from SU and work) and I have been quite nerdy about planning this follow-up event to the awesome summer beerlympics. We have a theme and a backstory all planned out. My main focus has been created a website to hold all the information and to stir up some excitement! I decided, it's time to learn Flash CS4! And wow.... that's been crazy. Not only have I had to get familiar with the program and the layout, I've had to learn the basic animation and time frame functionality and some basic ActionScript 3.0 language. Actually, I'm having to get into more complicated AS3.0, too....but luckily the internet is a great resource (so far)! Anywho, the 2010 Winter Beerlympics are coming up, January 30th! Let me know if you want to make a team and compete! There will be awards, it's the beerlympics after all ;)

I'm hoping to become familiar enough with the program to create my own Isagenix website using Flash. I just ♥ Flash :) I'm able to combine my video editing experience, Photoshop experience, drawing experience, creativity experience, and website building experience (with the help of DreamWeaver, which I LOVE , btw). Actually, you know what. The whole Adobe Creative Suite 4 package is just awesome. Complicated, but awesome.

OK my break time is over...so I'm going to go stay on task for the last hour of the day and week!! I'm looking forward to this weekend. Hopefully I'll actually get to see my boyfriend for more than an hour or just sleep. He's been really busy at work and doesn't get home until really late most days, and then weekends he always has plans with people so YEAH we live together, but we never really...do...anything together...or just "us" like. And the next month has activities planned already so it looks like it will continue... oh well. Hopefully he can make plans with me some time...and just me.....
