I have learned to be more reticent about my political thoughts, but I read an article that really spoke to me and wanted to share. Regarding the subject of legalizing same-gender marriage (on our ballots in WA state), I read this quote and it really hit the nail on the head about how I feel about this overall: "I would argue that government should get out of the marriage business altogether. It should be civil unions for ALL, at least from a legal perspective, and let individual communities decide who gets to be 'married'. Just a thought."
The whole transcript is worth reading, though- some great points are discussed.
