NO COFFEE, but the new computer arrived!

**This post is actually from 3/20/09, but for some reason I saved it as a draft and forgot to publish...weird...**

Blah. That's how my head feels. I haven't had any coffee today! I'm working from home for various reasons and just failed to not be lazy and make a pot. And now my head is paying the price. Oh well.

On the good side of things, it's Friday! And my new computer came today! A big thanks to Jay for pointing me to cyberpowerpc.com. I spent a lot more on a computer than I originally planned, but it's really nice. It's a desktop. 2.8Ghz quad processor (Phenom II X4), 4 GB RAM [for now], two geforce 9800 GT video cards with SLI, velociraptor 10,000 rpm hard drive (250GB), with a 1TB data hard drive as well. Those are the basics. Plus it just looks sweet. Windows Vista is taking some getting used to, but no complaints! The main reason I got this was to edit HD video from Jake's video camera (AVCHD format) and to burn either DVDs or blu-rays. But I'm sure this computer will be used for much more than that!

It's looking rather gloomy outside, but I'm looking forward to going out to a movie with Jake tonight and unwinding. We're gunna go see Mall Cop. Comedies are [almost] always good stuff.

It's very blue... but pretty, yeah? Fairly quiet, too.

Here's my setup today. I have my worklaptop hooked up to the monitor as well, but it's not active in this photo. I'm not sure if this is where the tower will stay or not...gotta see what works best.

Ok, seriously- there's SO MUCH space on this monitor. It's only a 22" LCD, but it's set at 1980x1080 resolution! Photoshop is absolutely awesome on this computer. No lags whatsoever!
