Snowboards & Birthdays

I've sort of been wanting a powder board for those nice powder days up on the mountain and it's beginning to be that great buying time of the year where all the previous year's stuff is on sale. That top snowboard is a really nice board, normall $1k (yeah- a whole grand, crazy I know), but it's on sale for $700. I also really like the Burton Fish. But...I still really like my board and it does fairly good in powder so I probably shouldn't. =)

So, I'm 22 now! Yesterday was my birthday. It was a very nice day out, too. I had to drive to Renton in the morning for my staff meeting, but it was an enjoyable commute- the traffic was very light and I had my ipod playing thru my stereo and my moon roof open. It was excellent. Then my family took me out to Buca di Beppos for dinner. It was sooo good. I was stuffed. It made for another late night and Jake & I couldn't get up for our morning work out once again; hopefully tonight I'll get to bed at a decent hour.

This past weekend was fun, we had friends over for birthday celebrations and we played games and hung out all night. Jay got Jake and I the computer game "Spore" and it's way fun =). Jake spent the majority of the day on sunday playing it...but I will probably play some later tonight. Kristen and Corey also got us a really nice wine rack! It's way cute and goes with our house. We weren't expecting presents but that was really nice of people...

So for my birthday Jake MADE me a jewelry box out of this exotic wood. It's so nice! I love it when he makes me things! He made this little wooden box for my glass hearts a couple years ago and ever since then I've joked that what I want for holidays is for him to "make me something out of wood!" and then he did! Super sweet =) I really needed a jewelry box, too.

Well, I should get back to work now..........
