Monday.

I'm a little frustrated about a couple situations, but they're mostly just internal angst. I'll get over it.

Went to see Watchmen on Friday @ the imax. What a great movie! It was quite long, I wish I had gone to see it on a Saturday night rather than a Friday night, but oh well. I'm probably the only person who gets up at 4am and goes non stop all day. ..

The rest of my weekend was very restful. I got lots of stuff done around the house, including finishing the carpet steam cleaning adventure. That's always fun. It looks beautiful once again.

Tanaya & Matt came over for the day on Saturday! That's always fun. We went out to eat at Ixtapa, which was fun since Matt clearly knows how to order and pronounce everything, while we're all ordering our "super nachos" and the likes lol. Tanaya and I used to hang out all the time back in the day, but then we got full time jobs, and full time boyfriends. Hopefully we can get together for more fun activities!

Speaking of which, April 4th Jake & I are hosting a party at our house to celebrate our birthdays! The plan is to get some oh-so-delicious Hot Iron Mongolian Grill and then head over to our house for some fun and games. I'm hoping our backyard will be somewhat nice by then & our permanent fence is up, but considering we have 2 weeks to get this done and the weather refuses to cooperate, I doubt this will happen.

Speaking of weather not cooperating, I need a nice-weathered Wednesday so I can go take my motorcycle riding test to get my endorsement. It's either do that or renew my permit for another 90 days, but since they cost the same I'd rather just get the endorsement.

I'm a little disappointed in pushing back the MBA one more year. It's mainly because I can't decide between a regular part-time MBA or the Tech Mgmt MBA at UW... Hmmm. Oh and I have to save up to pay the taxes, which will be quite a few thousand dollards. There's good incentive to do so since my manager basically said without explicitly saying [because he can't] that he would promote me to a level 3 once I finish my degree. That means higher salary grade and more responsibilities! Woohoo. I'm glad I'm somewhat on-track about this, because even tho it costs the company tuition, it makes me a more desired employee since I'm pursuing higher education. In today's times of layoffs and skill team audits, I need to be very desirable within my skill code.

That's enough about work-related stuff.

And I guess that's enough in general. I'm going to go back to work now.

See ya.

  1. How come you guys never call me to get that fence done!!?!

I bet if Jake and I busted our asses on a Saturday, we could get it done before the party. But you guys need to TELL me beforehand so I can plan for it, not have Jake call me and say "come over" on Saturday, haha!
